The Chief’s Professional History
Brad Redden is a Transportation Safety and Compliance Leader with more than 30 years of experience in the trucking industry. His areas of expertise include Transportation Safety Standards, Driver Training and Qualification, CDL licensing requirements, Hours-of-Service Compliance, and Driver Standard of Care. His expertise extends to Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection requirements, Open-Deck and Bulk Trailer operations, Cargo and Load Securement, Oversized Loads, Hazardous Materials Transportation, DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing requirements, accident investigation, and motor carrier safety management. Brad is widely recognized for his deep knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations, as well as his experience developing and implementing safety policies and compliance programs for both DOT-regulated and non-DOT fleets.
Brad earned his Class A Commercial Driver’s License in 1994 and logged more than two million accident-free miles throughout his professional driving career. In 2010, he transitioned into executive leadership roles overseeing driver training, safety, recruiting, and human resources for nationally recognized motor carriers. He has served as Chairman of the Missouri Trucking Association Council of Safety Supervisors and was named Missouri Safety Director of the Year in 2021. His leadership has contributed to numerous fleet safety awards and nationally recognized driver achievement programs.
In addition to his career in transportation, Brad served more than 25 years in the United States Navy, including active-duty and reserve assignments in both domestic and combat-zone environments. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer in 2014 after a distinguished career marked by multiple commendations for leadership and mission success.
Not only is Brad the Founder and Chief Compliance Advisor for CPO Consulting; he also is a Commercial Trucking and Transportation Safety Expert with Evidence Solutions, Inc., leveraging his extensive experience to assist attorneys in cases involving commercial motor vehicles operated by both traditional and non-traditional fleets.
